In this system, the key phrase "1 second" is defined as;
1. a specific reference of timing, used in the process of engaging in combat,
2. a specific measurement of time; e.g. one sixtieth of a minute,
3. the amount of time that a biomechanical position or technical position is held; e.g. holding a biomechanical position, guarding position, striking position, blocking position, parrying position, grappling position, throwing position for one moment,
